Bill: End of Torture Act, Part II

Details

Submitted by[?]: Freedom Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4132

Description[?]:

Honourable Congress,

We are here to make a plea, revitalizing our bill that unfortunately didn't pass the first time, losing by only 10 votes. We need to correct this horrible mistake.

Upon detailed examination of our legislation we've encountered a sad point that desperately needs our correction. The same country that believes in prisioners' rehabilitation providing them with a education plan let the use of torture on suspects be legal. Who decides what situation is "emergencial" enough to warrant such a ruthless agression to another human being like that? Do we wanna go back to some of our darkest days that thankfully stayed in the past? We need to change this legislation, my friends, before one of us or our loved ones end up on the receiving end of such a horrific act...

We understand the reasoning of our friends of BPP, always fighting for the rights of the military branch. But, as we discussed in private chambers, our party believes in honouring those brave individuals with respect and investments. The institucionalization of torture take us to a dangerous path, one that is not beneficial to anyone. The respect for your party remains even with that point of dissention, though.
