Bill: Budget proposal of February 4132

Details

Submitted by[?]: Nouveau Centre

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4133

Description[?]:

Monsieur le President,

The government has become too bloated. Massive cuts are necessary to get rid of bureaucratic waste and to ensure that the government is running efficiently and effectively. More money does not necessarily mean better service and care to our people. Furthermore, the returns that we are seeing on our previous budgets to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense are simply sad. I will conduct a review of the budgets to those respective ministries if it becomes clear that Rildanor will become much more engaging on the global stage.

Sidonie Chevrier (Nouveau Centre)
Minister of Finance
Deputy for Tiralouse

MessageThis is cutting public spending and taxation for the rich. We hope our Left-Wing allies will also reject this.

MessageWe have over a billion Crown surplus. We should be dedicating more money to things like defence, justice, health etc not cutting them. This is pointless.
