Description[?]:
Law proposal from Magni Iucunda Imperialium --- As Ministry of Environment and Tourism, I continue to look into our empires enviromental status and laws and would like to bring this up for debate. Cars! We all need and use them. But to what extent should we? Currently private cars are allowed and people are encouraged to travel collective and enviromentaly. What if we do one better and "Only cars using environmentally friendly fuels are allowed." or atleast we could limit it to one car per houshold. As a country of several islands it's not far to the next place and we already do use boats quite a lot too to get around. --- Signed by Ministry of Environment and Tourism Lucretius Claudius Sergius of MII |

Message | We respectfully disagree on this one. Our islands are fairly large, and there are quite a few remote, underdeveloped settlements. We believe this law will thus harm a rural subset of the working class which will be unable to afford new, environmentally friendly cars. The only way we could agree is if there was a uniform plan to promote affordability. |

Message | The implications of this bill would go too far. While we applaud the use of alternative fuels, we cannot ban all automobiles unless they use such fuels--regardless of their cost. |

Message | I understand your concerns. What if we incrementally move towards more environmentally friendly transportation by limit it to one car per household and increase our public transportation capacity? Would you be onboard with the changed proposal? |

Message | We would support increasing public transportation expenditures surely. But we feel a hard limit on one car per household limits the personal autonomy of the citizenry too drastically. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
