| Article I.) FEDERAL SERVICE 1.) Upon reaching the Age of Majority all adults of the Federation must serve either a 2 year term within the Federal Armed Forces or a 3 - 5 year term of service within the Federal Public Sector. 2.) Only Citizens who have completed their Term of Federal Service within the Federal Armed Forces may apply for a Commission within the Federal Armed Forces. 3.) Any Citizens who have completed their Federal Service tour, either Federal Armed Forces of Federal Public Sector, may apply for fully subsidized post secondary education at any institution within the Federation. 4.) Those born before January 1st, 4123 are exempt from the conditions within this Bill. |

Current: All adults upon completion of schooling can be required in times of war to serve a term in the military.
Proposed: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve either a term in the military or a lesser paid term of civilian national service, at their option.
