MessageRespectfully we have to disagree. Chancellor and President shouldn't be in conflict. However, we could abolish the position of Chancellor and have the president sit as head of government, then there would be no conflict between head of state and head of government no matter which party proposes the cabinet.

MessageWe respect your opinion.

But we believe that it does not matter who holds which position, it is all about seperation of powers. This proposal would make coalition makings much more easier, especially if there's a president whose views are far away from a group in parliament that wants to form a coalition. Luckily we don't have such problems right now, but who knows maybe we might encounter them in the future.
