Message | Mr Speaker, We will oppose this bill. We believe that conscientious objection to all military roles should be protected, some people may have strong opinions against the service they would potentially be forced to do, and as such we should respect that, or else we will become as bad as some of the enemies we may fight one day. Hopefully National Service will be revoked however, thus we hope this bill will not even be applicable. Sara Voight, Parliamentary Leader of the Progress Party, Finance Minister |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I will repeat the statement of my predecessor that on the issue of National Service the government should hold a referendum. It is irrational that every time we have a new government the law on military service is changed. And I assure you that in the future if we regain majority the military service will be restored. Fritz Bauer, DSU Leader. |

Message | Mr Bauer, You contradict yourself. One moment you urge us to hold a referendum, the next you state if you were in power you wouldn't bother triggering one yourself but instead revert the law back to your preference. How very hypocritical of you, at least my party isn't preaching about a referendum! Sara Voight, Parliamentary Leader of the Progress Party, Finance Minister |

Message | Mrs. Voight, We'll not revert the Law back to our preferences, WE will bring back the status quo on this issue as we believe that holding the referendum First and then reforming the Law is the right way to do. Fritz Bauer, DSU Leader. |
