MessageMr. Speaker

Even if the Union is somewhat skeptical of the hellish environmentalists' prediction of our world if we continue using fossil fuels, we do not believe it to be positive in the long run for our economy's self reliance and our world as a whole to never even consider switching over to Renewable Energy. I oppose this measure because it can lead to us becoming largely dependent on Kafuri Oil and not just that, but make us cozy with the idea that there aren't any other efficient or possible options when it comes to energy.
I yield.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Even if we are to become "dependent" on Kafuri oil, which is hardly the case seeing we have a significant supply of energy within our own borders as it is, the likelihood of Kafuri using it as some sort of leverage against us economically or politically is minimal. Nonetheless, I and the HDU realize renewable energy is an important area of concern, and I will ask my Minister of Environment and Tourism, the Rt Hon. Mark Bronson, to consider new renewable energy programs throughout Luthori with the 4,125,000,000 LPD budget his ministry is provided with.

I yield.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Thank you for your reply Mr. Prime Minister. I suppose you are right about Kafuri not planning to use their oil exports against us, or for that matter, that we'd become dependent on them. And thank you even more for addressing the issue of renewable energy seriously, and not like what the rest of the right likes to do, point to studies that aren't verifiable or professional and say all because it's not funded by a Government or directly linked to a Corporation that it must clearly be the truth. Well, to be entirely honest we haven't had much discussion on the environment in Luthori, but that's beyond the point and I'm beginning to waste time on this floor.
I yield.
