| Mr. Speaker, The budget for the Ministry of Education and Culture is 31,000,000,000 LPD. Some of that money goes to overhead, salaries, and maintenance, but the bulk of the money should be going towards Luthori's grand institutions of higher education. Our universities and colleges are world-renown for their prestige, research, and academic standing. It should be fitting, therefore, that the government do what it must to provide the money for these institutions. As Minister of Education and Culture, I created a running list of universities and colleges in Luthori, starting off with our oldest and most prestigious institutions. This is available to the public (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=498541). Endowments to these universities help to provide funding for research, salaries for tenured professors, and financial aid for students. This bill outlines the endowments which I intend to provide out of the ministry's budget. I yield. The Rt Hon. Margaret Patterson MD Minister of Education and Culture ----- ARTICLE 1 The endowments for Luthori's institutions for higher education, coming from the 4142 FY budget for the Ministry of Education and Culture (31,000,000,000 LPD), shall be as follows: (Orange) University of Fort William - 3.5 billion LPD Imperial University New Salem - 2.5 billion LPD Royal Williamsbrough Academy - 2 billion LPD University of Orange - 1 billion LPD (Geharon) Clamfwydd Martyn Luthor University - 1.5 billion LPD Helston School of Science - 3 billion LPD University of Geharon - 1 billion LPD (Tinako) Emperor's University Middenhall - 2 billion LPD University of Tinako - 1 billion LPD Tinako Polytechnic Institute - 2 billion LPD (Utagia) Adlerberg University - 2 billion LPD University of Utagia - 1 billion LPD Utagia Institute of Technology - 2 billion LPD (Yodukan) University of Northminster - 3 billion LPD University of Youk - 1 billion LPD University of Laloquon - 1 billion LPD University of Yodukan - 0.5 billion LPD Total endowments are 30 billion LPD. ARTICLE 2 The endowments outlined in this bill shall remain in effect for each successive fiscal year unless modified by another act of the Imperial Diet. |
