Message | So a test will say that only people that think in a certain way would be considered adults. That is directly against freedom of thought. Can you exemplify with some questions, in order to avoid this? |

Message | For example questions about the laws of our nation, general knowledge (mainly historical) and things like that. Absolutely nothing about religion, values or ideology obviously. |

Message | It's a good thought to make a test to be determining adulthood. But we tend to agree with In Marea at that in practice it can be very hard to determine what should constitute adulthood. As they say in "test will say that only people that think in a certain way would be considered adults". Also then people with disabilities won't be considered adult if the can't answer or understand some questions in a way we determine to be correct? What kind of test, some people have difficult on written test but not on oral ones? Immigrants who arrive as "adults", will they have to take a test and if they fail will they become teenagers? It's a great theoretical thought and we do understand it, but it's to hard to implement in practice. --- MII |

Message | What will the consequences be of failing a test that determines adulthood? Do the failing testers then remain wards of their parents indefinitely? Do they become wards of the state? |

Message | We were thinkin' about all these aspects: - If someone fails the test he will be able to retake it some time later (1 year maybe, a timelapse in which he could study and inform himself). - It would be a test with an oral and a written part. -Immigrants needn't to take the test. -Yeah, people with disabilities that make them fail test 'cause of misunderstanding the question won't be considerare adult, and in our opinioni that's the major advantage of this Bill. |

Message | To us at Sabulum Clarum, changes in this law must not be made to restrict legal agency and disenfranchise. Age remains the most simple and least discriminatory means to determine adulthood. We oppose using a test to strip people with physical or intellectual disabilities of their rights. We also worry this could in the extreme progress to an ideological test to eliminate political opponents. |

Message | So basically in some part the test will discriminate disabled people for something they can't control |

Message | While a better educated Selucia is good, such goals should not come before the freedom to participate in what is Selucian Democracy. |
