| This bill is created in order to protect the Hobrazian culture from radical and unrealistic changes, in conformity to game rules (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6363). BRIEF PRE-GAME HISTORY The ancestor's of today's Hobrazians descend from the early Osnulusan group, who formed most of the early polities that covered Hobrazian territory, such as the Mastkyasz Confederation, the Rozumanli Empire, or the Kingdom of Krapic. The demographics drastically changed when the Tokundians came from Deltaria to Hobrazia seeking refuge when they were overthrownin Deltaria. The two groups mixed producing a proto-Hobrazian group. Hobrazia was eventually united under King Baltazar I of the Płomień dynasty, which ruled the majority for the time which the Kingdom existed. Under King Michał, Hobrazia converted to Hosianism and it became the official state religion. In modern politics, unrest eventually built up from demanded by the suffrage movement prevented by the autocratic rule of the kings. They were eventually overthrown in the Hobrazian Revolution (~French Revolution) and a republic established lead by a radical group begging a Reign of Terror, executing anyone who dared speaker against them. A group of radicals dissatisfied with the current government founded the Muzal K’alak’i Commune (~Paris Commune) and overthrew the National Assembly founding the People's Republic of Hobrazia. The communists eventually allowed free elections and were voted out of power, allowing for the Republic of Hobrazia to be established. A process of decommunisation began turning Hobrazia into a very capitalist nation. PEOPLE OF HOBRAZIA -Hobrazians 75% (Polish) -Tokundians 10% (Serbian) -Malurkis 6% (Galician) -Luthorians 4% (English) -Yeudis 3% (Jewish) -Other 2% The majority of the nation is composed of Hobrazians and a majority of the nation speaks Hobrazian even the minorities. A large minority of Tokundians still exist and still speak their own language with many loanwords from Hobrazian. Malurkis descended from the Osnulusan speak two Malurki dialects, Greater Malkuri (Western Galician) and Lesser Malkuri (Central Galician). The minorities retain their languages, but most speak Hobrazian as a second language. *Please note, these numbers, while not stagnate, should not fluctuate wildly. Large demographic changes should only occur with an extensive RP, and consent of all involved. RELIGION -Hosianism 80% (Christianity) ---Selucian Patriarchal Church 60% (Roman Catholic Church) ---Luthoran Church 16% (Protestant/Lutheran) ---Other Hosian Faiths 4% (Brought by Terran immigrants) -Atheist/Agnostic 12% -Malkuri Tribal Faith 6% (Native American spirit/ancestor worship) -Yeudism 4% (Judaism) -Ahmadism 1% (Islam) -Other 1% The majority of the nation is a member of the Selucian Patriarchal Church which has been around since its introduction under King Michał. There is also a significant minority of Luthorans who have been converted by missionary coming from Luthoria. There are a variety of Hosian religions brought here from all over Terra. Some of the Malkuri have retained their faith and there has been a recent interest in their religion bringing many Malkurians to the old ways. There has been a recent trend towards atheism as previously the communists banning religion has made Hobrazia very secular. There also is a Yeudi and Ahmadi minority coming here through immigration. *Please note, these numbers, while not stagnate, should not fluctuate wildly. Large demographic changes should only occur with an extensive RP, and consent of all involved. NAMING Characters should have mostly Polish, with a small number of Galician and Serbian names. It is advised that party names are in Polish. | Message | Many people will disagree that communism was truly the ideology behind previous leaders of Hobrazia. I believe it was corrupt and brutal, it didn't stand for true communism, so I disagree with the cultural protocol on this but I will vote for this bill because I like the idea of multicultural society in Hobrazia. |
