MessageAllowing the government to operate a central bank gives it a great deal of power over the nation's economy and currency--power which is better left entirely in the private sector. Moreover, banking in the private sector will be more efficient and yield more economic growth, as it is not impeded by a slow-moving governmental bureaucracy.
