Bill: Call for early elections, December 4151

Details

Submitted by[?]: Konservative Union

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: August 4152

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

I feel obliged to call the early elections as soon as possible. I think that the recent fights and arguments in the State Councill has revealed that this cabinet is among one of the least productive and least consolidated in the history of our nation and therefore we urge the state council to agree to call the early elections as soon as possible.

Tim Tancredi, Staatskanzler der Dorvisch Republik.

MessageMr Speaker,

Absolutely not! Elections are due soon, rushing an early election will solve nothing!

Joseph Mikaelson, Progress Party Leader

(OOC: Please definitely vote against. For a start the Presidential candidate for the AfD had not been confirmed (despite tensions in the alliance, a joint ticket is planned once again, my party is mostly focussing on the State Council this upcoming election). Secondly, it is unfair to call an early election as there are still bills being voted upon; I for example have put a manifesto forward practically. And finally I see no need for an early election, if this passes it will likely be an awkward time for me again (I remember the previous elections in January or something occurred for me at 3am, which was a massive nuisance), the current times from what I remember are right for me now. Plus I'm busy tomorrow but free for the rest of the week, so I'll have more time to prepare the wiki and so forth, which I've neglected for the past two or so elections)

MessageMr. Mikaelson,

Elections are due in 8 month from now. This is a lot of time and our alliance will not tolerate such lack of consistency of a cabinet. Your actions has show us that early elections are the best solution for the inconsistency. Therefore I urge the State Council to support this proposal.

MessageMr Speaker,

We have to agree that an early election has to be called, this term has been ineffective and the taxpayers money wasted. We frankly cannot understand our allies position. I also announce that I will be running as candidate in the next presidential election, whether this passes or not. Not to split the vote, but with the intention of winning.

Konstantin Wu,
Radical Party Leader

(OOC: Wu is not happy with the direction of the AfD so will run to push it to the left)

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.
