Bill: Education Reform Bill of 4154
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4154
Description[?]:
The education system in Selucia has a great deal of promise. However, there are many ways in which education may be stifled by self-interests of parents and businesses. This will only lead to a decline in learning standards and the continual instilling of purely false ideas into the minds of Selucia's students. Thus, as a measure to attempt to stop this potentially dangerous deviation, Cogitari is proud to present the Education Reform Bill. |

Message | In Marea agrees with Article 2, but disagrees with 1 and 3. If education is complusory, has to happen at school and there is a National Curriculum ehich eveyone has to follow, where can parents or the own students decide if they want to study some things or others? Also, a National Curriculum for everyone compulsory will be changed with each new government with ideological purposes |

Message | The difference between the ideological concerns of, say, a government is that it can be debated and streamlined. In regards to other areas, however (religious education in science, for example), the organisations who set up these foul, anti-educational curricula are kept up by the non-standardized education system. To fix the ideologicalisation of schooling completely, more would need to be done at a later date, but this bill would be an excellent first step, and thus, articles 1 and 3 are central to it. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
