MessageOOC: riots? It doesn't make any sense if there aren't any counter demonstrators (which doesn't seem to be the case as it isn't specified?). Whatever...

IC: The PCK has showed their true colors - as an anti-police, violent extremist movement. The National People's Police in Soulon has a duty to protect the law and such disrespect as the PCK has shown towards vital Kanjorian institutions will not go unpunished. I challenge the militias of the PCK to only TRY going beyond freedom of assembly and commiting acts bordering terrorism and provoking the police to do their job. I am perfectly confident the National People's Police will do everything they can to stop violent measures taken by the extremists of the PCK.

MessageChief of the Department of Capital Security of the National People's Police, Jean-Pierre Bouvier, Press Release:

I want to welcome you all to the headquarters of the Department of Capital Security of the National People's Police.

First and foremost, the National People's Police has gotten information about the intended activities of some political groups and organizations in our capital. According to the chairman of the Parti Communiste Kanjorien, the arrangers estimate about 4 million participants. The National People's Police has been in contact with arrangers and has given them permission for their march to designated areas between the Place de la République, the Sénate building and La Maison Populaire, the capitol.

I want to make this very clear: one of the most important duties of the National People's Police is to protect and defend the constitutional rights of citizens. Our task is to protect the law in all situations which includes the freedom of speech and freedom of assembly that all Kanjorians are entiteled to.

The National People's Police is very well prepared for the coming events, to prevent any potential clashes, vandalism of property and other illegal acts. We will shut down the streets in our capital around the designated areas to prevent any potential clashes. About 15 000 Soulon officers will be patrolling the streets on the day of the march. They will be assisted by 3000 riot officers from Soulon, another 3000 riot officers of the regional Martois Police Department and another 4000 riot officers from regional departments from across our country. We've been in contact with the regional police forces and requested their help. The cooperation will be coordinated and led by the National People's Police to ensure the security of all participants as well as other citizens in our capital.

The National People's Police's job is to protect and defend among other rights, freedom of assembly. However I want to make this very clear: any provocations, incitements of violence, acts of terror, acts of vandalism and other criminal activities will be treated accordingly. On the day of the march, there will be absolute zero tolerance for such acts. We have information that paramilitary groups will participate in the march. Among the National People's Police's tasks is to protect the law in the capital, which includes the freedom to organize in a militia-like movement. However, if any indications of the violation of the 4155 Militia Act are apparent- we will intervene accordingly and prosecute the militia members.

I want to emphasize that no violent acts in the capital during the protests will be tolerated and that the National People's Police along with regional police units, are prepared accordingly. This to ensure the events surrounding the march are according to law and to ensure the safety of all individuals involved or nearby the area.

That concludes it all. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them now."
