Message | Mr. Speaker, an independent judicial system sounds wonderfull, but if one is to change the current system, we should outline the replacement in a very punctual and precise way. Such changes will also add a lot of expenses, which I'm not certain we'll be able to meet. Does the President or the Minister of Justice have any idea what the total, annual cost will be? Message | Mr. Thierry Fockenoy, the Ministry of Finance will increase budget of Ministry of Justice by 25% which will cover the expenses that are needed. I also have to point out that there was a governmential financial waste in past when court power was in hands of the President. We want to make sure that the budged is used an effective way. Message | Mr. Speaker, we can agree that there might have been a waste in expenses for the judicial system before. Still, we have had no answer or explanation of how the Minister of Justice wishes to build a new system. Again, we stil wonder if the proposed budget will be sufficient to bear the cost of such a change. Thierry Fockenoy Justice specialist for LNC |
