| Message | Mr President, Members of Congress, As per our manifesto I would like to increase military spending by 2.5 billion dollars during this presidential term so that we may continue to invest in the best equipment, the best training and the best people. However, I have some good news: I believe if we devolve the responsibility of maintaining civilian defensive shelters to the local state governors we can save money. Therefore I only need to propose a spending increase of 1 billion dollars. I hope Congress will ratify this policy of sound defence and good 'housekeeping' Defence Secretary William F. Mace |
