Message | No one is "forced" to live in poverty where no minimum wage exists. They are free to find any job they wish. Force only enters the matter when minimum wage laws exist, in that businesses and prospective employees are not free to voluntary negotiate an agreeable wage, they are forced at a minimum. This in fact increases the unemployment rate as those that would have agreed to work at a lower rate than the minimum wage, can no longer do so., as the costs are too high for the employer. |
