We believe that arms should not be exported. It is immoral. We are not selling just tools, we are allowing others to put their hands on tools of death. Message | Monsieur Paradis, Arms deals with close allies - such as Istalia - bring millions of dollars into the economy and are reciprocated with sales of superior weaponry and technology. It helps to broaden our defensive capacity and strengthen ties with those countries who will stand shoulder to shoulder with us during conflict. Our alliances and our growing defensive capability, in fact, helps to ensure peace and have acted as a deterrent to conflict on several occasions. I therefore see no good reason to change this law.
