| Over the last six years there have been two attempts to amend the abortion laws in this country. However, both looked at moving from the current situation to first and second trimester abortions. This may have been a jump too far. My independent bill (i.e. it is not necessarily endorsed by the leadership of my party) aims to ask parties to consider looking at a one-trimester abortion policy.
