It is against the spirit of the free market economy to allow any kind of monopoly.
If we wish to allow every form of free trade-man ship we should allow companies and businesses the opportunity to venture in this market.

MessageOur concern is over the potential abuses having this industry be privately controlled. Prostitution is well known to be an exploitive industry which preys on the helpless and funnels the money to those who control the business. We would like to keep this under the control of the government to prevent this sort of behavior and defend the weak.

MessageThe bill only legalises prostitution as a profession, exploitation is another matter, I believe. Obviously laws preventing unfair treatment of employees in all professions should remain in place. I also think it's hypocritical to have an ethically debatable profession run by the government.

MessageThe nature of this profession is irrelevant. The fact is that in a nation boasting to embrace the free-market holds a possibly booming economy back out of a paranoid fright for problems that may emerge, as will happen with all new economies.
