Bill: FSDP Foreign Aid Act of 4169
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4170
Description[?]:
The FSDP proposes that foreign aid no longer be 'tied' to favorable trade deals. Surely a nation that maintains a surplus of over 90 Billion Kuno can afford to provide aid for the sake of aiding, rather than extorting other nations. The FSDP also proposes the following appropriations for the foreign affairs department: 500,000,000 Kuno to maintain an emergency relief fund for large scale disasters in foreign nations. 250,000,000 Kuno to set up a 'community grant fund' that will allow Kundrati consulates and embassies to provide funds for community organisations in foreign nations to use; thus building community influence and ties in other nations. 200,000,000 Kuno to upgrade facilities, security and staffing levels at Kundrati consulates and embassies in foreign nations. 50,000,000 Kuno to recruit a corps of advisors that will be deployed alongside aid efforts to ensure that aid is being used for its stated purpose and to build a headquarters building for said corps. |

Message | Honorable member, we suggest that you direct your question towards the current ruling party, who has set taxation so high as to maintain a 90 billion Kuno surplus with limited public spending to aid our people. The FSDP is attempting to raise our profile in the international community with this bill, and will move to domestic legislation and spending increases in the coming weeks. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
