Description[?]:
Desmod Abdu-Ahi, whip of PSDI: "My party present this D.d.l. to give back to the State its role of grantor of the economical well-being and stability: our nation is today a power economy and exist many companies and conglomerates that today are officially "too big to fail" and given the nature of the capitalism and the constant existence of the risk of serious failures which could effect employment, growth and purchase power of citizens, the State shall have the possibility to intervene sizing the companies on the way of bankruptcy, restoring and then put them again on the market. This only to happen with companies that provide vital goods and/or services that could seriously and negatively influence the economy of our nation. Then, another way to avoid inconsiderate behaviours by part of managers and administrations, we think that allowing the participation of the employers and workers could only allow major control on the companies policies. To conclude, about the other articles, we think that a nation shall have a public broadcasting network, free, accessible to all citizens and also for a matter of national prestige. Thank you" |
