Bill: Slow Industry Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Slow Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 4179

Description[?]:

The drive for hyper-production and hyper-consumerism is leading us to produce far more than we really need - and at terrible cost to our environment, particularly to the air we all breathe.

Industry needs to be slowed down and put on a more rational footing.

Pedro Céspedes
Leader of the Slow Party

MessageWhilst my party has in the past supported these kind of proposals, we now believe that it would be better for our economy to keep pollution restrictions at current levels. That way we can encourage business whilst also protecting our environment.

Environment and Tourism Secretary
