Bill: Policy on prostitution
Details
Submitted by[?]: Republican Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 4181
Description[?]:
Local governments should be allowed to decide upon whether or not prostitution is legal in their particular state. If one state rules it illegal, those who choose to continue working in this profession may find work in a neighboring state. Prostitution dramatically increases the risk of the spread of sexually-transmitted diseases. At its worst, it can lead to exploitation that cannot be immediately proved and stopped. Local governments need to decide if this is a risk their state is willing to take. |
