Bill: Anti-Abortion Act.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Mordusia First!

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 4181

Description[?]:

Abortion is removing unborn children from the womb in other words murder. Murderers are frowned upon in Mordusian society and so should the people that wanted the abortion. The government should not be funding the massacre of unborn children they should be stopping it. In cases of rape the child will be born and will; be looked after the victim, go to an orphanage or the rapist but usually the orphanage. The victims of rape will be given MRD $50,000 for aid to help with medical bills and for sympathetic reasons. If the child is disabled the government should be granting funding for the disabled children so that they can live a happy life. Killing unborn children is murder and should not be allowed.

MessageWe oppose this attack on women's rights. Not only is it just for women to have autonomy over their own bodies, but legal, safe abortions are the most practical solution to ensuring women receive high quality healthcare. Mordusia should not return to the days of backstreet, unsafe medical procedures.

The proposal is a bad, but in the detail things unfortunately get even worse. The Government, or at least the Party of the Chancellor, not only says 'Murderers are frowned upon in Mordusian society and so should the people that wanted the abortion' straight after introducing the death penalty, the hypocrisy of that statement is only exceeded by the outrageous stigmatisation of vulnerable women, but then states,

'In cases of rape the child will be born and will; be looked after the victim, go to an orphanage or the rapist but usually the orphanage.'

So much for an interest in the welfare of children. The government would countenance placing children in the care of violent criminals guilty of the most egregious of crimes against their mothers? Is this seriously the position of the Government and the Chancellor?

We are fundamentally opposed to this proposal.

MessageUnborn children are still humans. It is a developing human about to be released into the world but you want to kill it. You could have been an unborn human happily developing and one day you are ripped out and because you haven\'t developed fully you are killed.

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current.
