Bill: Alcoholic Beverages Minimum Age Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party (보수당)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4182
Description[?]:
Currently our law states the following: 'Alcoholic beverages may be purchased only from licensed sales outlets, but consumed by anyone' However I feel this should change. My proposal is that Alcoholic beverages may be purchased only from licensed sales outlets, and can only be available to adults. This bill will not affect adults as they will still be able to drink and buy alcohol without a problem. However, this bill will mean children will not be able to consume alcohol which should be a priority. Children are going through a very important part of their life. They are learning what's right and wrong and in education. All alcohol will do for them is wreck their delicate bodies faster and affect their education. Would you really want to see our future public full with alcoholics who have little education or knowledge in highly skilled jobs? Lets act now and change this law for the better of the people of our nation and help to guarantee a healthy knowledgeable set of future adults! |

Message | Mr Speaker, We will continue to support this bill if the Labour Party bring it back to vote in the house. Children deserve protection from the dangers of alcohol and this is the next logical step in ensuring the safety of young people. It is also likely such a bill with have an impact on anti-social behaviour and healthcare. All positive in our view. |
