Bill: Illegal Immigration Restriction Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Royal People's Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4185

Description[?]:

Honorable Assembly,

At the moment, illegal immigration carries almost no penalties. More often than not, illegal immigrants are not found, and whenever they are, we allow most to stay and then spend additional tax dollars on their integration. Due to the lax integration policy, our other immigration quotas and border security serve no purpose. If someone wants to achieve permanent resident status, essentially all they have to do is sneak across the Jakanian border. If the government ever finds them, we are then forced to teach them Augustan as long as they are not confirmed terrorists.

We don't want to start an immigration enforcement police state, but our immigration quotas should be respected. As of right now they have no reason to exist. To properly enforce the quotas and protect our borders we must expel those who violate these laws.
