Bill: Subsidization of artists
Details
Submitted by[?]: Republican Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 4183
Description[?]:
Artistic institutions and galleries provide venues for artists to study and showcase their artwork, so it is appropriate that the government subsidize these in order to promote the advancement of culture and art. However, individual artists should not be subsidized. The government would reserve the right to commission certain artists to create works for the government, but individual artists already reap the benefits of a subsidized art education system. Organizations should be subsidized, not individual people. |
