Establishment of the Courts Act of 4184 For a modern day, civilised society to exist. A system of law and order practices and facilities need to be setup to allow for the pursuit of a fair, equal and representative society. For this reason, we are proposing the creation of a court system that will benefit the people the people of Davostag. Article 1: Regional Courts 1. Local authority is defined as any regional power within the nation of Davostag. 2. Every local authority must have a regional court established in every major city of their region. 3. A local authority is permitted to establish additional courts if they see fit. 4. Any court established by local authority has the right to represent the laws and rights the local authority permits. 5. The creation and running of a regional court is paid for by the justice budget. Article 2: National Courts 1. The Minister of Justice is given the right to establish National Courts. 2. A national court must exist in every major city. 3. The Minister of Justice is permitted to establish any additional National Courts they see fit to establish. 4. The creation and running of a national court is paid for by the justice budget. 5. Any national court has the right to represent the laws and rights of the national or federal government permits. Article 3: Regional to National 1. Any criminal or civil court case brought to a regional court can be appealed to a national court if the local authority deems necessary. 2A. For a criminal or civil court case to become a national issue, the Minister of Justice must consent to the appeal. 2B. If the Minister of Justice agrees, the criminal or civil court case will be taken to a national court instead of a regional court. 2C. If the Minister of Justice declines, the criminal or civil court case must take place in a regional court. Article 4: Supreme Court 1. The Minister of Justice must establish a supreme court in the Capital City. 2. Only a single Supreme Court may exist in the nation. 3. The Minister of Justice is permitted to relocate the supreme court if a more viable location is found. 4. The creation and running of a supreme court is paid for by the justice budget. 5. The supreme court has the right to represent the laws and rights. Article 5: National to Supreme 1. Any criminal or civil court case brought to a national court can be appealed to the supreme court if the national court. 2A. For a criminal or civil court case to become a supreme issue, the Minister of Justice must consent to the appeal. 2B. If the Minister of Justice agrees, the criminal or civil court case will be taken to the supreme court instead of a national court. 2C. If the Minister of Justices declines, the criminal or civil court case must take place in a national court. |
