MessageOOC:Why this obsession of the PSOL with changing the names of the Democratic Republic?
What are the reasons for proposing those particular new names, and what makes them any better than the current ones?

MessageGood questions, UDT.

PT Does not mind name changes particularly as OOC: The Primary 'Culture' of this nation has changed from what it used to be so it is likely that there are many pockets of citizens who do not fit the Cultural Norm and this nation will always be fluidly adaptable

MessageOOC: Being adaptable is fine and good. But turning Tukarali into a carbon copy of Brazil is not the same as being adaptable.

Messageooc: I agree. If anything, we should be less like brazil. We are Tukaralii and we have 2000+ years of history.

Perhaps to not be exactly like brazil, we should consider a different flag?

MessageOOC: This is more because I dont like the term Chanceler. My cultural formation make me associate it to authoritarian governments (mainly because of V for Vendetta), but its not something we really need to change. If you two want, we can discuss some possiblities, such as Primeiro Ministro, Secretário de Estado, Secretário-Geral da Repúlica or any other. Art 2 is because I think that the name of the HoS is too big, but its personal too. Art 3 its just because, there is no particular reason. I agree we need to create our own country and dont copy real ones

MessageOOC: Well, it seems that our cultural associations for Chanceler are very different. When I think of Chanceler/Chancellor, my first associations are the democratic heads of government of Germany and Austria. I'm open for discussion, and right now I don't really need the need for a change.

The title of the Head of State being too 'big' sounds rather esoteric too me. What's 'big' about calling him the President of the Democratic Republic? That is, after all the name of our state. The official titles of Presidents often include the offical name of the state ('Presidente da República Federativa do Brasil', 'Presidente de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos', 'Bundespräsident der Bundesrepublik Deutschland', 'Président de la République française') and and 'President' or 'President of the Republic' is simply used as a shorter form in everyday use. In fact, there would be a case for setting the full title of our President as 'Presidente da República Democrática do Tukarali'.

Random fact: Real-life quotations may be used in Particracy, but the real-life speaker or author should always be referenced in an OOC (out-of-character) note alongside the quotation.

Random quote: "The true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality." - Che Guevara
