Bill: Tax Relief and Simplification Act of 4186

Details

Submitted by[?]: Whig Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4186

Description[?]:

The Whig Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Commonwealth of Rutania.

The leftist alliance imposed the largest income tax increase in living memory on Rutanians, as Chancellor of the Exchequer I recommend this Income tax proposal to give relief to the millions of hardworking Rutanians who have been hurt by the drastic taxes imposed by the Leftist Coalition. I urge the Peoples Assembly to approve this plan to give justice to the Rutanians who rejected the Leftist Coalition and their punitive taxes.

--Chancellor of the Exchequer Richard Burnsburg

I applaud the Chancellor for this swift and bold action, there is no reason why the Rutanian government should extract a 38 billion RUT surplus from the people, it is simply immoral.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.

Random quote: "The whole uncivilized bunch on the opposite benches can get stuffed." - Craig Warwick, former Dranian politician
