| The Kalistan Centre-Left Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the United Republic of Kalistan. The Finance Ministry has changed the tax brackets to make tax collection more efficient. The Finance Ministry has reduced taxes on the lower tax brackets to give relief to the poor, low income and middle class families. Of course, this reduces our tax revenue. To compensate for the loss of revenue, the Ministry has increased the taxes levied on the highest tax bracket to 50% and tax levied on second highest bracket to 48%. This increase in revenue will also help Kalistan to increase its trade surplus. |
