| This bill lays out a RP Event for the nation and how it shall play itself out, all involved parties must agree to the script for it the event to happen, all involved parties must also agree to stick to the script, no making up events for people who aren't members of their party. The Beginning: November 4188 ------------------------------------------------------------------ After the Election of August 4188 all reports and signs will point to a booming Rutanian Economy thanks to fresh investment by multinational corporations, and record Corporate profits due to over a decade of 0% Corporate Tax Rates. Another key factor of the boom will be Rutania's current Eminent domain laws which allow land to be seized for Corporate or government use and no compensation given to the victim. This boom has disproportionately affected the wealthy of Rutania allowing them to reap billions in profits. Reports will show while all Rutanians are better off financially than they were before the Moderate-Right Wing alliance began reforming government policy and privatizing many things once done by the government the poor haven't felt the benefits like the rich. With little government involvement over banks, stock markets, and most government services being cut nearly in half since the first Right Wing budget in the late 4170's the poor are paying more to corporations, paying more in Essential goods taxes, and many have lost big due to the eminent domain laws. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Catalyst: March 4189 Hackers have hacked the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the server of the Secretary of Trade and Industry Gerry Cummings, the hacks reveal that Secretary Cummings has used his position to gain corporate 'gifts' in exchange for helping corporations acquire land at very little cost due to the eminent domain laws. Emails will reveal that he has received funds, all expense paid vacations, even lavish estates, and has even profited on the stock market well due to his insider-knowledge of which company is about to receive very valuable property. One particular case shall be a national chain supermarket T.B.I. Foods Inc, it is revealed through hacked emails that TBI Foods Inc. gifted the Secretary with an all expense paid Cruise, and a small estate in Artania, days later the Secretary used his office to push through an eminent domain case to seize the land of about 30 families so TBI could build a new warehouse, the land was then given to TBI at no cost in the name of 'Economic Development' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Deed: June 4189 While heading home from work the Secretary is assassinated, the Assassin quickly captured by the nations military police is interned in prison, his sentence to be decided by a vote of the People's Assembly after he gives a testimony of course. September 4189 - The Peoples Assembly begins a inquiry into what went on in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Whigs shall use the legislature exemption from civil and criminal charges for anything done while in pursuit of fulfilling their job, claiming that since he was improving economic development he and his staff did nothing wrong. |
