MessageGiuseppe Al-Walid, Whip of PSLI:

"The public financing of the parties is a crucial way to assure the democracy! The public financing graant to all the party same possibility to organize their activity, first of all the electoral campaign. Without the public finanzing we risk to see only the biggest party or those with huge private financing, against which the other could never compete.
The PPI continue to fall in the most basic populism and demagogy!"

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
