Message | We are happy to accept Articles 2 and 4 as presented, specifically the large cut to defence spending and commensurate increases to health and education. However, we cannot in good conscience endorse Articles 1 and 3. They result in unnecessary and expensive government subsidies for middle and high-income earners and are a prime example of wasteful government interference in the market. |
Date | 21:11:23, April 05, 2017 CET | From | Progressive Liberal Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of November 4190 / Advancement Strategy Act |
Message | We are happy to see the Democratic Alliance's interest in passing the legislation. As a response, we wouldn't call providing free college and universitary tuition to students all across Aloria an "unnecessary and expensive subsidy" but rather a very important governmental realisation of ensuring the "scientific advancement" of our nation. As the budget provides, in the named Article 4, all calculations have been made and the budget was reshaped in accordance to ensure that no pressure is put on the state budget. The results allowed even for tax cuts to happen, so we hope that the DA shall revise their position. |
