Message | This will drive away businesses to other nations with much lower corporation tax. I recently spoke to Gary Burgmuller of Burgmuller Pharmaceuticals, he identities that if tax was to be raised, his offices would need to move elsewhere and products available in Baltusia would reduce. Many, many people rely on the drugs provided by Burgmuller Pharmaceuticals and such a sharp increase would drive them away. If Miss Wiley really wants the best for citizens, then raising corporation tax is not the right way to go about it. Lewis Marten Deputy Leader of the Republican Party |

Message | I am delighted to hear that Burgmuller Pharmaceuticals will be departing from Baltusia and in fact, that makes me support this policy more! Clearly, this is a company which is only motivated by profit and money- not the kind of business we want in the pharmaceutical industry. We want companies who are motivated by a desire to help those in need and who do not shamelessly interlink themselves with political parties. Obviously, this would be an ideal opportunity to remove the private sector from medicine entirely so we will be looking into legislation to that effect. Once again, I think we can see who the Republicans work for: their business cronies! Hence why the Baltusian people have not rewarded them with any seats in Congress! Message | Miss Wiley clearly doesn't understand basic politics- you can't be "rewarded" with any seats if you don't stand in the last election. Lewis Marten Deputy Leader |

Message | Is the Republican party capable of discussing issues of public policy or do they prefer to play semantics and attack the character of their opponents? I repeat, no wonder they received NO VOTES at the last election. Kathleen Wiley Minority Speaker of the House |

Message | It's clear, we told you that it's bad for both people and business as described by the Burgmuller Pharma case, we discussed that. We received no votes because we didn't stand! It's clear Miss Wiley is a complete idiot who is beneath her job. Lewis Marten Deputy Leader |
Date | 16:42:41, April 09, 2017 CET | From | Foundation Party | To | Debating the Removing the Burden of Tax from the People |
Message | I have seen that the people in my constituencies are worried about the departure of the pharma. The hospitals are worried about the shortages they will face. |

Message | It's almost as if the Republicans do it on purpose! They are so scared that their wealthy donors might be forced to leave the country that they resort to ad hominem attacks against me. If BP leaves, another firm will take their place- isn't that how the free market operates? If not the government will step in. Kathleen Wiley Minority Speaker of the House |
Date | 23:25:33, April 09, 2017 CET | From | Baltusian Democratic Green Party (BDGP) | To | Debating the Removing the Burden of Tax from the People |
Message | This proposal is unneeded and would completely scare away business from our nation. What's the point of taxing companies so much if there are none in the country! Harriett Miller Finance Secretary |
Date | 10:31:31, April 10, 2017 CET | From | Democratic People's Movement | To | Debating the Removing the Burden of Tax from the People |
Message | We don't want companies in Baltusia who are only here for our low taxes. There will always be companies because that's how a free market operates; you're needlessly scaremongering! Kathleen Wiley Minority Speaker of the House |
Date | 11:12:40, April 10, 2017 CET | From | Patriotic Party of Baltusia | To | Debating the Removing the Burden of Tax from the People |
Message | Members of Congress, Whilst we are all for article 2 - removing the tax on essential goods altogether - we cannot accept the hike in corporation tax outlined in article 3. Despite what the National Party says this will drive away domestic businesses, discourage international companies setting up here, it will put off new businesses from starting up and cut the chances of fledgling businesses surviving to reach maturity. Alexandra Flanders Majority Speaker of the House |

Message | Why is discouraging international companies from setting up here portrayed as a bad thing? I couldn't care less for Istalian or Kalistani businessmen: I care about Baltusian people- who will benefit greatly from the increased revenue this proposal would pull in. Kathleen Wiley Minority Speaker of the House |

Message | Madame Minority Speaker, You have picked out but one element of my argument. I will re-iterate: as well as being a budget that is bad for international businesses looking to invest here, it also drives away existing domestic companies, deters new enterprises from starting up and hampers fledgling firms. Whether you are an arch global capitalist, a confirmed nationalist or something in between this is bad for you and bad for business. Alexandra Flanders, Majority Speaker of the House |
Date | 18:33:02, April 10, 2017 CET | From | Democratic People's Movement | To | Debating the Removing the Burden of Tax from the People |
Message | Firstly, allow me to correct you: this is not a budget. There is no change to expenditure proposed and in that sense, this is more accurately described as a tax plan. Regardless, the argument remains. The level of tax which businesses pay is irrelevant to their success when all businesses pay the same. The only corporations who will lose out are those who are only in Baltusia for low tax rates, like the oafs at Burgmuller. In my view, it's much better that they are gone! Message | Madame Wiley, Apologies, you are correct - this is an awful tax plan not a dreadful budget. Alexandra Flanders Majority Speaker of the House |
