Bill: Old Discussion: The Pontesian Cultural Compromise

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pnték Znkak Prta 'Bastardry'

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2214

Description[?]:

Following on from "Discussion: Pontesi Style/Culture/History":

CBP-"Well, the THEM want to RP this like an ex-Yugoslav nation and now the FHP want to model it on Italy. Could you compromise on a Slovenian setting - Slovenian soil was held by the old province of Venice in the 1400s and beyond, and so the area has strong Italian influence on a country which has had Yugoslavian influence as well. Co-incidentally, the two western provinces are where the FHP have their main stronghold, and the three eastern provinces are where the THEM have their stronger basings. If we perhaps agreed to name the cities in the western provinces with Venician names, and the ones in the eastern ones with Slavic names, this would be a suitable comprimise on this front. We could also name the individual regions likewise.

The ONCP prefers to keep Parliament and Prime Minister - It would be fair to hold one of these, perhaps losing the other to compomise. This would allow us to rename "regions", and either the "parliament" or the "Prime Minister" in Italian or Slavic form, one each."

FHP-" That is a great compromise. What does THEM think of that?

Does THEM wish to suggest some names for the four variables i have listed above? We can then agree on two from each with the input from others as well."

The only problem I can see with my suggestion in hindsight is the exclusion of the smaller parties from the process. I have revised it slightly.

The FHP can rename 3 of the following cities and one of the regions:
Alexandria (Xanduley)
Wyatt (Xanduley)
Von Hayek (Hodirak'hi)
Woodbridge (Hodirak'hi)

The THEM can rename 4 of the following cities and one of the regions:
Murlowe (Abure)
Thalmann (Abure)
Great Eastford (Dandratur)
Sladjie (Dandratur)
Reardon (Mainulay)
Smithfield (Mainulay)

The PFC can rename one of the cities in the THEM's set, one of the regions, and what regions are to be refered to as.

The ONCP can elect to retain:
Head of Government: Prime Minister
or
Government Name: Parliament
AND rename one of the regions in the FHP set, due to their long standing commitment to Pontesi.

The GCP can rename one of the cities in the THEM set.

The GotNation party can rename one of the cities in the FHP set

In addition to this, the FHP and THEM can rename the variable the ONCP chooses to leave and Head of State between them.

The CBP will concede all entitlements to renaming, to ensure neutrality during the compromise and decision.

This was the ORIGINAL Proposal but no longer holds valid due to the expiry of the GotNation and PFC, the hiatus of the FHP and the GCP getting an unfair share due to their late arrival on the scene - they are now somewhat more established.

MessageTHEM - thanks for the info, I'll reappropriate.
PFC - thanks for the vote for confidence.
GCP - You weren't even INCLUDED in the first proposals that were basically single parties stating what they wanted everything to be. At least cut me some slack for including you.

MessageErm... perhaps not make it so formal, just get agreements on those we can easily change ourselves, like HoS, HoG, Parliament and Region Names

I do not believe we even have to rename cities as we have space for another two per region i think. Thus another 10 can be named and we can all agree on some new names, obviously we would need some more slavic sounding ones in the southern regions to balance out the English ones, could do with some Italian ones too

MessageWe can rename the cities as well, I thought, but I guess more variables means we can have more involvement for the smaller parties. As I've already said, the CBP are generally happy to sit aside on this, but remain interested in proceedings. The mere reason the GCP got so little from the comprimise I proposed was because I ran out of things to assign to everyone.

MessageAs the positions have changed, and parties have died and new ones emerged, could more input please be provided as to how the parties would like Pontesi to be roleplayed?

MessageIn light of the decisions taken in "Default Variables are Boring. Discuss." (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=60880) this is to be moved to vote for archiving.
