Message | This is the second time legislation like this has been proposed, and for the second time we would argue that this would significantly harm our nation's outreach in Dovani and around Terra. In the past, our Government has promoted national security with a strong intelligence agency alongside a robust set of "soft power" initiatives like international aid to improve our nation's standing around the world. These efforts have been effective and have come at a far lower cost than maintaining a heavy military presence. We fear that cuts in the international aid budget would be a massive mistake. Helen H.
