Bill: Cabinet Proposal of February 4199

Details

Submitted by[?]: Bloc Centrist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4199

Description[?]:

After analyzing the results of last election, it is clear that no one side truly won. The right wing has 115 seats, and the left has 138. The NFU is now the largest party, but the left wing UPD made significant gains. Neither ideological side however, has a 150+ majority WITHOUT the acquiescence of the centrist party. We have been offered rich proposals by both sides, therefore, we cobble this unity cabinet. A unity cabinet in which no one truly has what they want, but everyone has an equal lot.

Our cabinet is as follows:

The Head Government will be from the PPSK. The reason for this is because it makes no sense for the HoG to be ideologically opposed to both the HoS and to a plurality of the Senate.

Since the will be the head of government, they need to have a few key positions to help the state function properly on both an international and domestic scale. For this reason, key positions such as Defense, international affairs, and justice, and social services will be given to them

For being the largest party however, the NFU will keep a strong majority of positions, including finance and also infrastructure, as they have dealt fairly with the government and with the people in this area. They have a good record thus far, of keeping promises, so they agree to 2 concessions:

1. They will leave the realm of international treatise and laws affecting the international arena solely to the PPSK
2. They will agree to allow the PPSK, at their discretion, to change any one single policy of their choice, no matter how controversial or repugnant they deem it to be.

the NFU will also agree to continue acting honestly with the senate and with their colleagues in the cabinet. If any subterfuge is detected, the senate will not hesitate to back a completely left-wing cabinet.
