MessageThe Capitalist party feel saddened that democracy has been shunned by this proposal, smaller parties are going to get more seats than a larger party despite the number of votes. However we feel this is a reasonable coalition and we would be happy to serve in government with such fine parliamentarians.

MessageIn response to the comments made by Jon Burnham; do you think that we are not qualified enough to hold important positions or that I am an idiot when it comes to selecting the Cabinet despite the fact that I came second in both rounds of the presidential elections? I have been involved in many discussions with President North which concern the nation and the way that the government is run. He has specifically stated that he wishes for my colleagues and myself to take on these roles and most of my colleagues have high levels of experience and are qualified to serve our nation under the North Administration. When this Cabinet is successfully put in place, the government can finally work on developing our nation to become stronger. In the case that you see any of us unfit for taking on government responsibilities, it would be helpful if you look at what we have done to actually help the nation and learn from our successful efforts into making our country greater than it once was.

MessageFirstly, the above comments were from the New Labour Press Office, not from Fmr President Burnham.
Yes, we remember very well your record in government. We remember when Robin Banks of the Tea Party was last at the Ministry of Finance. He put up taxes on the lowest paid, put up taxes on middle income earners and slashed the education budget. It was not until I became Chancellor in 4187 and Aiden Coleman became Finance Minister than we were able to undo this damage by increasing education funding, providing a tax cut to middle earners & taking the lowest paid out of income tax all together.

Our concern is for democracy. The Tea Party have returned to Mordusian politics and achieved 6.4% of the vote at the Congressional elections. Nothing wrong with that, it's a commendable result. But we were pointing out the disparity between this result and the power afforded to the Tea Party in their cabinet proposal. Your own coalition partner has said of this proposal...'democracy has been shunned'.

Our concern is for Mordusia and for our democracy.

I have been Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Mordusia for 12 years and wish my successor, whoever that may be, the best of luck.

MessageI would like to remind everyone that if this cabinet proposal seems inadequate to them or their party. That another cabinet proposal can be made. I know that this may seem crazy but it is called compromise. Also noting that if this cabinet or any other cabinet fails to work in a highly effective manner they can be replaced through congress. If any further proposal's wish to be made submit another cabinet proposal. This is the beautiful thing about democracy.

MessageFirstly, I do remember when Robin Banks was the Minister of Finance. He put miniscule taxes on the poor but he also put taxes on the rich so that they can pay their fair share of money and we had great amounts of money in the budget. But then Aldegār declared war on the IUPU and if you read their war plans, they would fly an armada of bombers through Rechtenburg (our Capital City) and headed towards Sadrian. And to help protect our glorious nation Finance Minister Banks, had to increase Defence funding and we had to cut Education Funding for that as it had plenty of money. As soon as the war finished, funding would go back to normal. However he was dismissed from Cabinet, and Coleman came along and left us vulnerable when it comes to a war or terrorists by slashing Defence funding and bringing us closer to debt. So in 4187 you left our country vulnerable and undefended, allowing the rich to dodge taxes and bringing our economy closer to debt.

We are all concerned about democracy, however we have a Cabinet full of inactive people. Once this Cabinet selection is put in place, we can then negotiate on a Cabinet successfully. That is my hope for our government.

MessageOur budget in 4187 left Mordusia with a 50 billion MRD surplus & left defence spending over 10 billion MRD higher than it was prior to your reforms, so not undefended and not closer to debt. The rich did not have their taxes cut. Those earning under 36K MRD did not have to pay any income tax & those earning under 80K MRD received a tax cut. The budget we passed is still in place, so parties are free to go and look at the figures themselves.

And just so that history is properly recorded, we were the party involved in negotiating with our IUPU allies and were at the peace talks with Aldegār, so I remember it very well. There was never any plan to 'fly an armada of bombers...and headed towards Sadrian' not least because Sadrian had no involvement whatsoever. The conflict which did occur was between Valruzia and Aldegār.

I also remember the message published by the Tea Party hours after the crisis broke "challenging" the then Foreign Minister (who was from New Labour). At a time when Congress needed to pull together to discuss the situation the Tea Party's politicians were trying to further their own careers.

I always enjoy Mr Bennington's contributions but he must remember that whilst he is entitled to his own opinions, he isn't entitled to his own facts.

MessageYour budget left us with 50 billion MRD but our budget was left with around 80 billion MRD and was focused on defending our nation. We couldn't risk cutting our defence budget or any taxes because if you don't remember, we were preparing for a war. But talking about helping the poor it was Robin Banks who eradicated a tax on non-luxury items and put it on the luxury ones so that the poor could afford necessary items.

History is also important and in case you didn't know we were also at those discussions and at that period of time we controlled the Ministry of Defence and we were discussing important war strategies with top Valruzian officials. Aldegār wanted to control both Valruzia and Sadrian and I specifically saw their strategy pages in their government bills section. Those have been deleted by the government to prevent nations charging them with any more war crimes.

I agree to the fact that Fmr Chancellor George Busch did challenge the current Foreign Minister and I know that it was a time when Congress needed to pull together but how could've we resolved this conflict when our Minister of Foreign Affairs sits there and does nothing. If he didn't challenge the Minister of Foreign Affairs he would have remained sitting there and doing nothing whilst being happy that he has a position of power.

I do enjoy your contributions as well Ms. Mulholland, but let me remind you that when are to say something do a bit of research. Your statements about Robin Banks are always "He is the man that hurts the poor financially" or "Robin Banks is an enemy to the growth of the middle class" but you do not look at what period of time he was in or other things he has done apart from just creating a tax system that hurt the poor economically.
