Message | Ah, the Whigs are back to their fascism and racism. Truly insidious. |

Message | Former President and party chairman Elmer Clark: There is nothing racist nor fascist in this proposal, having citizens register their race as well as there religion which is already required under the law serves our national security, after a civil war with lots of foreign intervention from our neighbors it would be good to know this sort of information in the interest of state security and longevity. We need to know if someone's allegiance odds with us or a foreign power. Longevity is not something the Rutanian government maintained well enough in the last century, we need tho take measures to ensure we do not repeat the mistakes of the past. As for the allegations of racism in this bill or in the party I have been so honored to lead are unfounded. This bill merely allows freedom of choice to private institutions. It is ironic yet noble in a tragic sense that the party that claims to stand betterment and uplifting of the people are the very same partY afraid to let the people exercise too much freedom. The bill explicitly prevents any segregation of public institutions, so we would all still be equal under the law, people would just have the freedom to operate their business in a manner they do choose, does the PPR fear what the Rutanian people would do given such freedom as to open a segregated restaurant? Odds are my colleague here in the PPR knows that a large enough group of Rutania will support segregation as a necessary step forward toward the dream of a 'Great Society'. A future in which Rutania can rule the sea through robust trade and Industry all protected by a modern Rutanian fleet. All this can be achieved if we allow the people the freedom to self-correct the flaws in our society through freedom and not legislating morality." ------standing ovation from 2/3 of Whig Caucus-------------- -----Thomas Barron seated as a Patrician walks out followed by the other 1/3 of the Whig Caucus.------- |

Message | Party Chairman James Frill-- "We believe in serving all Rutanians. By your logic, Mr. Clark, we should let the citizens murder eachother because its THEIR choice on THEIR property." ----PPR caucus stands---------------- "Please be seated, friends. We work, not for personal gratification and betternent, but for Rutania!" ---applause----- |

Random quote: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." - Dwight D. Eisenhower |
