MessageThis will lead to deforestation which will cause an ecological crisis and will threaten our national security. Furthermore, we find it bizarre that a so-called association of taxpayers is proposing to abolish a tax break for people. Instead of saving money and the environment, they want to increase pollution which will cause a huge increase in respiratory disease and global warming.

MessageWhere is the evidence for this 'ecological crisis'. The use of scaremongering tactics is a favoured one of progression. However, they are just impeding national development and wish to see the people live in the squaller which Labour (their allies) provide. This bill encourages people to make their own choice with regards to transport, allows us to use some land for new economic development, and allows people the freedom to have any pet of their choice. Why does Progression hate people being economically free instead of constrained by their socialist utopian dreams.

MessageACT has been consistent in its message that it supports both the lowering and broadening of tax rates. In this case, the elimination of the tax deduction for cars will reduce one form of economic distortion that dampens productivity growth. In doing so, rates can be lowered for all taxpayers while also making markets more efficient for consumers.

MessageCars emit pollutants which cause global warming and disease - these are two thousand year old scientifically-proven facts. "National development" would mean switching all future cars to be run on environmentally-friendly fuels - this would not only create jobs but would improve our environmental and physical health. It'd also mean cheaper fuels costs too.

MessageACT does not want to go down the proverbial rabbit hole regarding the tenuousness of the AGW conjecture. We are 'luke warmers' who recognize the logarithmic nature of IR radiative forcing and appreciate the inherent complexity in analysing the climatic process. The party firmly stands against the politicisation of science by climate alarmists.
