Message | Paula Brahms, Leader of the DA in the Senate: "We cannot, in good conscience, support a proposal to re-introduce child labour in this country! We accept that the current economic downturn warrants creative measures to promote and stimulate growth, we do not feel that flooding the market with further labour will help. Moreover, it is unconscionable to vote in favour of child labour, regardless of any safeguards you might put in place to 'protect' them. We can support the remaining measures of the Bill, but as it stands will be voting no should this Bill proceed to a vote in its current form." |

Message | We think there is nothing wrong with allowing children to work, if they wish to. Anyone under the age of 18 is legally a child. Are we saying a 16 or 17 year cannot have a part-time job alongside their studies because they are not legally an adult? We are a party that believes in liberty, which is why we think giving children to work in a safe environment is completely fair! Daniel Leitzke, Prime Minister |

Message | Given the recent economic troubles our nation has been having, we believe that this is necessary in order for our nation to fall further into economic turmoil, and therefore will vote in favor. -Otto Hartmut, Leader of the NF |
