Message | Dear Speaker, While the NCP itself is pro-monarchy, I feel I must add that the Hwangje royal family itself is not NCP, and has at times gone against the radical members who have commandeered the party since the last election. Banning monarchy will only inflame the passions of the radicals and push even moderate royalists into the camp of the radicals. I would recommend a vote against this bill. Kim Minjun Former NCP Chairman and moderate spokesperson for the royal family. |

Message | Dear NCP, We currently have no royal family in this nation so your talking complete rubbish! Diane Jones Foreign Affairs Minister |

Message | Mr Speaker, although we favor republican government, we object to this treaty insofar as monarchy per se is not equivalent to dictatorship. This changes nothing with regards to our conviction that any political claim to power from the part of so-called 'royal families' is completely fictitious. Message | Mr. Speaker, We can not support this Bill. We do not want a monarchy, and we believe that the NCP does not have the power to enact a monarchical reform. We value a republic. But people must be given a choice. The SDA |
