This bill will improve I) Safety of drivers and passengers A) With less cars on the road there will be less of a mathmatical chance of getting into an accident B) Drivers will be trained professionals and will be held to a higher standard than normal drivers. II) Enviroment A) With less cars less cancer causing pollutants will be released. (If one bus holds 36 passengers, that is equivalent to roughly 18 cars. The bus can run on average 5 - 10 MPG, while the average car is around 20 MPG.) B) The government can regulate the fuel that the vehicles run on, and the standards to fuel efficiency that they use (biodiesel, etc.) |
