| Women should have autonomy over their own bodies. Our laws currently force women to undergo dangerous and life altering medical procedures against their wishes or to seek medical care elsewhere. This can be in other countries, at great personal cost, or in illegal and unsafe ways, at great personal risk. We recognise the emotion around this issue & propose stopping stopping short of full autonomy, but still providing greater freedom & equality to women. |

The truth is that this is about abortion and during the second trimester - 4 and a half months to 5 and a half months - the baby is quite developed. With this in mind, and given that the current legislation already gives women 3 months to decide whether they want an abortion, we oppose this bill and urge others to vote against it too. | Message | There is no law which requires male circumcision. Mr Busch seems to be confused about how the law works. Abortion is illegal in Mordusia after the first trimester. This means that women who need an abortion after this period are either forced to carry the foetus to term or travel to one of the 25 nations in Terra which allow abortion after this time. In extreme cases they may seek to break the law. Members of Congress are simply not facing reality if they think that vulnerable women are not caught between these desperately tough choices. Mordusian citizens should not have to travel abroad to receive the healthcare treatment they need. The use of the terms 'massacre' and 'murder' are a disgusting attempt to intimidate and stigmatise vulnerable women. If Mr Busch had any sense of decency he would apologise for that language. |
