Description[?]:
This bill is to affirm the Republic of Saridan's position as a defender and advocate for human rights on the international stage. This bill affirms our nation's commitment to those who must leave their homeland due to persecution, and to assist those who are face conditions of poverty and going without in their homes. We do this as a reflection of our shared experiences. As many Saridaners came here during the Trek, we must be sympathetic to others who face ethnic and religious persecution. As a primarily Ameliorate country, our values tell us to accept the bible and the values set down by Eliyahu, and thus we must give refuge to some people who face persecution. ARTICLE I: FOREIGN AID The government shall give moderate aid to countries that do not abuse or corruptly allocate monies granted through foreign aid. Foreign aid shall cover disasters, famine, housing shortages, economic blights, and medical emergencies. ARTICLE II: A suitable number of refugees shall be admitted to Saridan. They shall be given aid to learn the Duntrekker language, or the main language of the jurisdiction they are resettled in. The aid they are given will also consist of job training, temporary housing, and basic necessary medical services. |

Message | Meneer Spreker, The LvS and the state department both agree with the proposels by the HD. However, the LvS want to change article 1 to tied aid in return of trading rights. If this goes well, we can change this to moderate aid. The LvS is deliberatly cautious on this subject of foreign aid, as this has been proven to not always work out. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
