Bill: Private Car Bill 4211

Details

Submitted by[?]: Baltusian Democratic Green Party (BDGP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4212

Description[?]:

Members of Congress,

Whilst it's right that we don't over-regulate businesses, particularly when we are in the process of improving our economic state, we must ensure that we protect our environment. By subsidising environmentally-friendly vehicles, we're able to reduce the amount of air pollution, taking us one step closer to the goal of creating a better, more green world.

And funding doesn't necessarily just go to imports, as some have suggested in the past. Instead, they can be used to fund the manufacturing of these cars in Baltusia itself, so we don't harm the automobile sector. Research by my party suggests an increase in money for the Environment Department won't be necessary for this proposal.

MessageMembers of Congress,

We will not stand in the way of this bill, if it is the will of this House to pass it - on the basis that this will not cost the government and that our automotive industry is consulted at every stage of the process.
