| The Socialist Party of Kalistan (SPoK) propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the United Republic of Kalistan. This Bill, endorsed by the Minister of Finance, represents a cut of just over 6% of national spending. The cuts are not across the board- Importantly, this proposal cuts foreign affairs, since our diplomatic missions have almost completely ceased under the last Administration, the Military, due to the scaleback of our world presence under the previous Administration, and food and Ag due to the Previous Administration's shortsighted cuts in subsidies for farms and effective ending of the National Agriculture Administration as they lifted the ban on large farms and allowed mass land consolidation. Policies have effects, and the effects of the previous Administration have been to degrade Kalistani capabilities both abroad and domestically. I think our budget should reflect this. We will be pairing this spending bill with a new tax bill which will cut taxes, primarily in top tax brackets, to smooth out the progressive curve, and to reflect a decrease in our need for funding from the population. We will also call for a 13% cut in corporate taxes, to reflect our need for funding assuming these cuts go through. We encourage all Parties to support this Bill. |

| Message | Since the KIP couldn't get it's last budget proposal passed we will support this because Kalistan needs change. A smaller budget and more cuts is always good. |
