Bill: Environmental Small Government Bill 4213
Details
Submitted by[?]: Patriotic Party of Baltusia
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4214
Description[?]:
During the recent election the Patriotic Party lost the governorship of Terrarokka, which was very disappointing. When we asked voters for feedback on this they said we were not clear enough on the environment. We said straight away we would set the record straight. That is why I want to make it quite clear that our party stands for as much sensible deregulation of the environment as possible with, where possible, private firms, leading the way rather than government-run agencies. We are sceptical about the heavy-handed approach encouraged by some parties in this House and think it is detrimental to our overall growth as a country. We will continue to pursue a small government stance, which will help us during this economic crisis - as it will free up funds - and help people and businesses develop their own reasonable environmental guidelines rather than feel they are continually being penalised by the government just for being in business or using a car to get to work.
